Welcome to my little corner of the Web!
I’ve written and spoken about technology and the practice of law for a number of years. My publications include The Complete Internet Handbook for Lawyers (ABA 1999), the Internet chapters in a couple of editions of Flying Solo: A Survival Guide for the Solo and Small Firm Lawyer as well as scores of articles about lawyer use of technology. My next article will appear in the next issue of The Public Manager: “A Manager’s Guide to Knowing What You Know.”
The domain name Netlawtools.com is left over from my consulting and website design days. Nowadays I just practice law, with an occasional pro bono projects. I created the IEC Journal group blog and moderated it for eight years. More recently, I’ve been developing the OmbudForum.org and EthicsTrainingForum.org collaboration sites.
I am available for CLE talks on my favorite current areas of research:
- Developing a successful intranet (this focuses more on management than technology),
- Effective presentation techniques, and
- Blogs for lawyers.
